This article is for bluetooth bath fans, so I’m not sure if you are talking about a ventless bath fan? If you don’t want to do any ceiling damage, just make sure that the housing is the same size as the existing light/fan. There are existing bathroom fans that look like recessed can lights btw, such as my last pick in this article that I wrote about, but I’m not aware of any that are ventless.
